Ross
McInnes
"The
Flying Scotsman"
 |
Ross
is undoubtedly the Grand Master in the world of Pool,
He was the first player to enter the professional pool player Hall
of Fame. His achievements over the years would, we think, be virtually
impossible to match, let alone beat. Ross was ranked No1 PPPO (Professional
Pool Player Organisation) player for 14 years, held the World Speed
Pool record for 8 years and has also won so many Scottish International
titles that he has simply lost count.
He is the only player to have ever held every mayor title in the same
year. Ross himself has stated that when he retires from the game he
intends to devote his time and energy to raising the status of pool
for the players of the future. |

plays for both the Wales under 21s team and the Wales A team (Senior).
He has played for the Wales A team for 3years and was also their Player
of the Year in 2002. His biggest influence has been his father Mike,
who has coached him from a very early age and has been the Manager
of the Wales Youth and Junior teams for many years.
Ben has already proved that he has a unique talent for the game of
pool, and it is this talent that will propel him to the top of his
profession for hopefully many years. |

Simon Ward

|
Simon
recently became the 2005 Under 21s World Champion and is one of the
most respected players on the pool circuit, having achieved a great
deal in a short space of time.
He started playing when he was about seven and entered the Welsh trails
when he was just nine years old.
Simon has represented Wales now for many years and Lets hope for many
more. I believe many of our talented players owe part of there success
to the encouragement and support they receive from there families,
and Simon is no exception.
At present Simon is studying Accounts, Business and Maths at A Level
at Gorseinon College and hopes to go on to University to become a
Chartered Accountant. Today Simon was offered a position as trainee
Accountant at a prestigious Swansea Accountancy firm, with the offer
of a permanent position at the end of his Degree.
Whatever he decides to do with his future we wish him success and
hope he continues to play Pool, as Wales would certainly miss such
a talented player.
Simon approaches each game with a confidence and maturity far beyond
his years. His smooth playing action and quiet determination make
him a pleasure to watch.
I have no doubt the name of Simon Ward will be ranked alongside the
top Pool Players in the future, and we wish him the best of luck.
